Accounting and Business Lending Administrative Specialist
Overview
Headwaters Regional Development Commission (HRDC) is looking to hire a full-time Accounting and Business Lending Administrative Specialist. This position will provide staff support to the Headwaters Regional Development Commission along with its subsidiary the Headwaters Regional Finance Corporation (HRFC). The person in this position will coordinate with and work under the direct supervision of the Financial officer along with HRFC lead staff. It is expected the individual would spend approx. 50% of their time in HRDC activities and 50% of their time supporting the HRFC and revolving loan fund.
The work is varied, complex, and independent. This individual will work quickly and effectively to support the mission of the HRDC and meet the HRFC program objectives. The chosen individual must be passionate about creating successful communities in our five county Region and want to work as a member of a team. Expectation of position would be normal in-office hours with the option of occasional remote work. Salary will be commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits.

- Enter, processes, and prepare monthly financials for the HRDC and/or its subsidiaries.
- Help accounting team with accounts receivable and payable monthly activities.
- Support staff in organizational, administrative, and fiscal initiatives as needed
- Perform loan monitoring functions of the Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) loan portfolio, including tracking financials, insurance, UCC filings, real estate taxes, and job reports.
- Coordinate with the loan officer, loan applicants, and local partners to facilitate loan closings
- Loan payment ACH processing and payment posting in loan management software
- Fielding initial inquiries from potential RLF applicants
- Creation and maintenance of physical and digital loan files
- Cloud-based loan management software data entry and other maintenance

Knowledge of the policies, practices and services of the Headwaters Regional Development Commission.
Knowledge of the policies, practices and services of the revolving loan fund.
Knowledge of the fundamentals and methods of accounting for all types of organizations, for-profit organizations as well as multi-funded government agencies.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of grant administration.
Knowledge of federal and state fiscal guidelines and regulations.
Ability to maintain working relationships with staff and other agencies.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally, in writing, and in presentations.
Willingness to be committed to furthering the quality improvement goals of the HRDC.
